NORWEGIAN LANDSCAPE AND NATURE
PHOTOGRAPHY
My interest in photography
started out in 1999, when I
bought my first
SLR camera before at trip to Africa. My
interest for, and hopefully knowledge about,
photography has increased every month and
year since. When I started I had absolutely
no knowledge about photography. Since then I
have now reached a level where others find
my work interesting and I occasionally sell a few images and
take on assignments.
The small place where
I live is called Alversund. It is
about 25 km to the north west from the city
of Bergen. This is in the borderland between
the high mountains of the deep fjords and
the open coast area with thousands of small
and large islands.
I finished my training to become
a maritime pilot in September 2004. Everything
went well and
I like the challenge. In addition this kind
of work gives plenty of photo opportunities.
I also work a few weeks every year at the
maritime control centre at Kvitsoy. See
gallery for images from this small island
north of Stavanger.
My new house was finished in
April 2005. My family consists of a very hard-headed
and sharp daughter (born 10.04.2001) and a
lively and impatient son (born 07.02.2003) and not to forget, our big black
cat, Sherakan. Latest addition is a small kitten,
called Pjusken.
As you
probably already have noticed I am not a web
designer and I am not planning to be one. My
interest is photography and I want to use
time to create photos, not to sit in front
of a computer, at least not more than
absolutely necessary.
